Fourth Wing follows Violet Sorrengail, who is forced into a deadly dragon-riding academy where survival is a constant battle. She faces ruthless competition, hidden truths, and a growing attraction to the mysterious and dangerous Xaden Riorson. While the War College may not seem like the ideal setting for perfume talk, I thought it would be fun to imagine what scents these complex characters would wear. Here is how I would scent the main characters.

Violet Sorrengail

Physically fragile, but intelligent and slowly discovering her strength and powers.

Perfume: Atomic Rose by Initio Parfums.

Just like her, Atomic Rose takes the delicate rose note and transforms it into something explosive. The perfume is a reflection of her journey as she grows into her powers and uncovers her true potential.

Xaden Riorson

Powerful, intense, and son of a rebel.

Perfume: Oud Wood by Tom Ford.

Xaden's presence is both magnetic and intimidating. Oud Wood mirrors his dark mysterious edge with the blend of oud and spices. It gives complexity that demands attention while the vanilla note in the dry down gives the fragrance warmth. Perfect for someone not easily understood, but impossible to ignore.

Dain Aetos

Violet's childhood best friend and over protective companion.

Perfume: Bleu de Chanel by Chanel.

A predictable and safe option for someone that always follows the rules. Undeniably masculine, but not bold enough for a true war leader. A classic scent better suited for a protector.

Rhiannon Matthias

Violet's first true friend. Supportive, talented, and grounded.

Perfume: Ani by Nishane.

Rhiannon encourages Violet's growth without underestimating her. Ani is the perfect scent for her; a comforting sweet vanilla fragrance with a fierce spicy edge. It's not just sweet, but layered with depth for a confident personality.

On to book number 2. Have you read Fourth Wing? Let me know what perfumes you think match their personalities.
